Professional Background
I am a cybersecurity professional with a strong foundation in both academic theory and practical hands-on experience. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Security and Forensics from Kabarak University, where I developed a solid understanding of security principles, digital forensics, and risk management.
My practical journey began with an ICT attachment at Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) in the Information Security department, where I gained real-world exposure to enterprise security operations, technical support, and endpoint security practices.
I then completed an intensive six-month practical cybersecurity training program with AfricaHackon, focusing on offensive security, penetration testing methodologies, and vulnerability assessment in controlled lab environments.
Today, I actively develop my skills through platforms like Hack The Box and TryHackMe, working on vulnerable applications, CTF challenges, and independent security projects to build a portfolio of evidence-based technical ability.
Career Direction
My immediate goal is to secure a Junior Penetration Tester or Security Analyst position where I can apply my skills in real-world environments while continuing to grow through mentorship and challenging assignments.
Long-term, I aim to specialize in web application security and offensive security, contributing to making the digital world safer through rigorous testing, clear documentation, and continuous learning.
